Contributor standards
- One record per person. Search the directory before creating one; administrators merge duplicates, but it is better not to make them.
- Record what the public source says, in neutral words. A profile is not the place for allegations; those belong on the docket, where the person can answer.
- Every admission, affiliation, discipline entry, and contribution should link to its source: the bar roster, the court or agency page, the published decision, the FEC or state filing.
- Contact details are work details only: the firm, chambers, or office. Never a home address or personal number.
- Contributions by family members are inferences from shared surname and address in the filing. Label them as such; the reader judges.

Political contributions
Enter each contribution as it appears in the FEC or state filing. For a spouse or family member, enter the donor's name as filed and mark the relationship; it is shown as an inference.

Research dossiers
A dossier is a compiled public-record narrative about this person (career, appellate record, litigation naming them, discipline history, open questions) written in Markdown with sources. Contributors draft; an administrator publishes. Pipe tables are supported.
